MONDAY
Everyone loves playing with Samuel Williard after school. They play outside on the rocks and on the trampoline for hours. I love that Samuel is the magic ingredient to get them all outdoors.
J is for Jelly. Benson did NOT like writing in the sticky jelly. Also we made some jell-o jigglers this week. Well, Eliza did. She has become the resident jell-o expert.
J is also for Jellyfish...
The girls presented their animal reports on South African animals. Eliza did the cape cobra, Sam the giraffe, Benson did the black panther that loves to eat "cantelopes", and Ally did the national animal of South Africa the Springbok.
In the We're Going on Safari counting book it also taught about Tanzanian culture and how to count in Sawahili. We all picked what our name would be in Swahili.
I splurged and got the adventurers Dippin Dots to celebrate the end of our Africa journey.
We started strong with our first geology lesson. Intro to geology. It was a lot of fun. We learned about the layers of the earth and created a model out of rice crispy treats and whoppers and oreo crumbs. Tasty science. We are using the Family School Online lessons for this unit. They are so good. It took a bit of prep work ahead of time because I like things printed but such great stuff.
Ben started learning letter J and right angles for preschool.
