MONDAY 16th
We did a big study of minerals. TheFamilySchool Online geology lessons have been really fun. This was no exception. The highlight of the lesson - breaking open Geodes.
TUESDAY 17th
We did an intro to Canada video. Our favorites are the Geography Now ones. They are silly, but cover a lot of info in a little time, also the guy is cute. ;)
No pics to show for it. But we started reading Phillipe something something about Quebec this week in honor of Canada week. It is a TGTB library book. Its nice enough but not really connecting with any of us. Interesting peek at colonization era of Quebec though.
For writing everyone had to write a letter to a friend. We took Sam's letter to our besties the Williards when we took them dinner because they all caught the virus.
Ally and I went to town to try out new trumpets and get her old one fixed. They all had music lessons today. We sure do love their teacher, Sammi Meyer.
WEDNESDAY 18th
The sun was shining so we went outside. I figured since all the high schoolers are now doing school remotely (cuzcovid) that no one would mind if we played on the football field during school hours. Sure enough the security woman said it was okay and we spent hours there this morning. Running on the track, playing math games with our inflatable dice, pretending to be puppies, and reading our Phillipe book when we were resting. It was glorious. I think we should go back again tomorrow. :)
