We started this week with our gospel connection, John 3:16, and discussed the greatest rescue hero their ever was. ;)

Vocabulary: hostages, paramedic, police beat, First Aid, etc.
Did Writer's workshop - free write, (he wrote and colored about visit to the dentist on story paper)
Read Officer Buckle and Gloria
Wrote own Safety Tips
Studied Rescue and other Working Dogs (seeing eye dogs, hunting dogs, police dogs, etc.)
Read Audrey Wood's, Alphabet Rescue
Spelled words using letter molds in sand box (Katie ID'd letters, Matty made words)
Pretend play at children's museum - grocery store, doctor, castle, house, puppies.
Prepped lapbooks for the next 6 weeks (decorated folders with stickers and laminated 'em - we both really enjoy doing that. )
